Art Ondish Scholarship

Arthur Ondish Memorial Scholarship
(One Student Selected)

The Arthur Ondish Memorial Scholarship has been established in memory of the late Arthur
“Art” Ondish, former mayor of Mount Arlington, by the Morris County League of Municipalities.
Mr. Ondish was an ardent supporter of education and a dedicated public official with a passion
for serving the citizens of Mount Arlington.

Scholarship amount: $1,000

Criteria to apply:

● Must be a resident of Mount Arlington
● Must be a 2026 graduate at any area high school (Roxbury, Pope John, Morris Vo-Tech, etc.)
● Must be attending a college in New Jersey in the fall
● Must complete the following writing prompt to be read by a scholarshipcommittee:

Please discuss the importance of community service and describe how you
have made a difference in your community.

Please send an email with the following information no later than June 12, 2026 to be
considered for this award: Your name, your address, the name of the high school you attended,
the name of the NJ college you will be attending in the fall and a response to the writing prompt
listed above. The email should be sent to spepper@mtarlingtonk8.org.
