District Assessments

Regular student attendance is important throughout the entire school year. Families are asked to be especially mindful of the state and local assessment dates listed on this calendar and, whenever possible, avoid scheduling appointments, vacations, or other absences during these testing periods.

Assessments provide educators with valuable information about student learning, academic growth, and areas where additional support or enrichment may be beneficial. Families can help students feel prepared and confident by:

  • Ensuring they get a good night’s sleep.
  • Providing a nutritious, hearty breakfast.
  • Arriving at school on time.
  • Encouraging them to take their time and do their best.
  • Maintaining a calm, positive attitude about assessments.
  • Reminding them that assessments are one of many ways we measure their progress.
