Registration

Welcome to the Mount Arlington Public School District! We are pleased that you are considering becoming part of our school community. Our goal is to make the registration process as smooth and efficient as possible for all families.

To enroll a student in a New Jersey public school, parents or guardians must provide documentation to verify the student's eligibility for enrollment. Required documents include:

• Proof of the student's age (such as a birth certificate, passport, or other official record).
• Proof of residency within the Mount Arlington School District
  • Must provide 1: deed, lease agreement
  • Must provide 3 (dated within the last 30 days): property tax bill, utility bill, phone bill
• Student immunization records in accordance with New Jersey Department of Health requirements.
• Universal Child Health Record
• A current physical examination record, if available.
• Transfer Record (if applicable), including the most recent report card, transcript, or withdrawal form from the student's previous school.
• Custody or guardianship documents, if applicable.
• Home Language Survey
• Completed district registration forms

Please note that under New Jersey law, families may establish eligibility for enrollment in several ways. If you are experiencing unique living circumstances or are unsure which documents are needed, our registration staff is available to assist you.

If your family believes you may be experiencing homelessness or housing instability, your child may be eligible for enrollment and educational services under the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act. Please visit our McKinney-Vento  under the Student Services webpage for additional information or contact our Homeless Liaison, Dr. Jessica Neu, Superintendent of Schools, for assistance. Families experiencing homelessness have specific rights regarding immediate school enrollment, transportation, and access to educational services.
